Baked Salmon with Asparagus and Brown Rice
Ingredients:
- 200g of salmon fillet
- 150g of asparagus
- 100g of brown rice
- 10g of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Baking sheet
- Aluminum foil
- Cooking pot
- Knife
- Cutting board
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Rinse the brown rice under cold water and cook it in a pot with 250ml of water over medium heat until it absorbs the water and becomes tender, about 30 minutes.
- While the rice is cooking, place the salmon fillet on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon and season with minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add the asparagus to the baking sheet, drizzling with a little more olive oil and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender.
- Once cooked, fluff the brown rice with a fork.
- Serve the baked salmon on a plate alongside the asparagus and brown rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
